As scientists and engineers, communicating your research with the public is a professional necessity!  This blog will emphasize the importance of communicating science to the public.  The public includes future employers (an important interview skill!), students, news media, university administrators, donors, legislators, family and friends.   I’ll explain some ways to make your talks clear, concise, compelling and credible… and told in the form of stories!  I’ll explain why connecting with the public is important in your career development too.  Communication skills can be used in community outreach activities, in the classroom, and at a party!
